Grey Cattle

Hungarian Grey Cattle is an old beef cattle breed from Hungary. It is a real „Hungaricum” known from the Hungarian Plain all over the World because of its beauty, its wildness and imposing appearance.

Most important element of keeping them is grazing.

Number of grazing days annually: 365 days.

A cattle needs 1-10 hectares of territory depending on the quality of the grass.

Due to the Bio and Demeter keeping methods the grey cattle meat doesn’t contain any toxic or artificial or hormone related material. Comparing to the conventional meats the nutriel content of the grey cattle meat is 4 times bigger.

Practically the same nutrient level as the meat had 100 years ago.

In the winter time they get hay, breeding straw and corn shaft.

Feeding the grey cattle by any industrial originating pet food or protein-forage is prohibited in order to ensure the 100% protection against BSE.

Beef of the grey cattle is more solid and meaty then other beef types because the raising period is extremely slow. Samples to be cut reach the required parameters when they are 3-3,5 years old, comparing to the average cattle which are 16-18 months old when they go to be cut.
